Electronic brake-force distribution is designed to make braking as effective as possible by redistributing brake-force according to which wheels have the best chance of stopping the vehicle. When a drivers brakes, the inertia of the vehicle results in more of the vehicle’s weight on the front wheels. To compensate for this, EBFD allocates more brake-force to the front wheels and less to the back wheels, which brake less effectively when the vehicle’s weight is pushed forward.
